Manny Pacquiao credits his kids for making Floyd Mayweather fight happen

We’ll finally be treated to the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather fight we’ve awaited for years, and we have Pacquiao’s kids to thank.
"My son and my daughter, they really wanted this fight to happen … Three years ago (they said) 'Daddy, I want you to fight Mayweather,'" Pacquiao told CNN in an interview. "'I want you to fight Mayweather.' I said, 'Why? It's not my fault. He doesn't want to fight.' And now finally now it finally happened. They really, really want to watch the fight."

As important as the fight is to the little Pacquiaos and the boxing world, Manny didn’t go as far as to call this the biggest fight of his life.
"I can say (this will be) one of the most important fights in my career,” he said. “(It) has been five years in the making … and finally it's happening. I think the fans deserve it."

When Mayweather officially announced the fight would happen May 2, the sports world erupted. However, it’s not like the fighters are being pushed into a bad situation considering the fight is expected to result in a $300 million purse.
"I feel blessed and I owe a lot to the fans," Pacquiao said of the $100 million he’s expected to make for the fight. "First to God but also the fans because of their support."
And despite the girth of Pacquiao’s wallet, he told CNN he "transferred his children from an academy for international students to a school with no air conditioning" to teach them to appreciate their quality of life.
"I want them to experience, so they can meet hungry families … so they will not mistreat other people or treat other people different," he said.
Well, kids, maybe after daddy’s big payday he’ll put you somewhere a bit more comfortable.

Mayweather taps southpaw ex-champ as sparring partner to prep for Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather has tapped a former world junior welterweight champion to help him prepare for his May 2 with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

The brash American champion has hired former WBO jr. welterweight titlist DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley as a sparring partner for the much-awaited super-fight with the Filipino ring icon, according to fighthype.com.

Like Pacquiao, Corley is left-handed, allowing Mayweather to prepare for the Filipino champion's unorthodox attack.

Mayweather and Corley are no strangers, having fought in 2004. Mayweather won that fight via decision.

Curiously, the Corley fight is among those cited by Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum to underscore how Mayweather struggles against left-handed fighters.

"I remember two fights he had with southpaws who didn't have the ability Manny has but who gave him trouble — (DeMarcus) 'Chop Chop' Corley, who buzzed him and had him in real trouble and Zab Judah," Arum, who was once Mayweather's promoter, told ESPN.

Manny Pacquiao wears shirt taunting Floyd Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao isn't the best trash-talker in the world, so he decided to go the more symbolic route.
Floyd Mayweather, also known as Money Mayweather, won't like when he gets a load of this. While training in the Philippines, Pacquiao was seen sporting a shirt with Pac-Man eating a money sign. This won't go over well with the money team.
So much shade being through in just one picture. May 2nd can't come soon enough
